Wimbledon 2013 - C'mon Andy

Anyone for tennis?  Sunday sees the men's singles final at Wimbledon and the UK once again has a chance at a winner in Andy Murray.  With this in mind I have created a mani to show my support.

Wimbledon Colours - Thumb: Base two coats of China Glaze Flying Dragon.  Stripes in Phthalo Green (mixed with a little white) and Gold acrylic paint and added with a striper brush.

Index finger: Base Barry M Spring Green. Tennis racquet painted with white acrylic paint and outlined in black acrylic paint.

Middle finger: Base Barry M Spring Green. Netting painted with Claire's Black and White nail art brushes.

Saltire Flag - Ring finger: Base China Glaze Frostbite.  Cross painted with Claire's White nail art brush.

Little Finger: Base Barry M Spring Green.  Tennis ball painted with Barry M Boots Limited Edition 2013 Yellow and detail added with white acrylic paint.

I'm playing catch up at the moment and this is the prompt for 2 weeks ago, which was food. I wanted to do something a little different so I created a design inspired by the secret rainbow cakes.  Those cakes that are covered in plain icing and look quite simple until you cut into them and the sponge inside is a rainbow of colours, sometimes layered and sometimes swirled.  I went with the swirled option.
